QNAP Security Response Team safeguards your NAS against malware and attacks through continous securrity threat investigations and released updates. We will get back to you as soon as possible. We are using a variety of tools to try and find the issues (Packet Capture, QNAP loading, etc) but its is looking to be more software related everyday.įYI we use QVR Center because of the way our cameras need to be constantly monitored so using QVR Pro login on the clients is not an option, not to mention that we typically have 20 or more connections going at once to the cameras.Īll QNAPs' are updated to the latest 5.0 firmware, as well as the QVR Pro 2.1.2.0 QVR Center 2.0.0.1, and Container Station. If you need any assistance about QNAP products, you can create and submit a support ticket here. I wanted to see if anyone else has a system like this and is experiencing the same issues, and if you have any information on what you are doing to try and solve the issue. We are also experience other issues that are less pressing and can be worked through. We have tickets in QNAP support and they are trying to determine the cause as to why this is happening but have had no luck so far. When pulling logs on the client side we find server errors (picture attached). Plus, Tyler Community, our user-driven software support community is available 24/7/365. QNAP uses designated ports for communication. We have found through our digging that QVR Center works more like an AD where it authorizes the connections to the other QNAP's and PC clients connect directly to the respective QNAP with the cameras you want to view. The only way we have discovered to bring the QNAPs back up in QVR Center is to stop and restart the QVR Pro service that is being affected. We have been having issues where QVR Center (which we rely on heavily) looses connection to the QNAPs it is talking to and thus makes the cameras unviewable. (FYI cpu, disk I/O, memory, and bandwidth are all looking good using no more than 50% utilization on heaviest taxed QNAP) The Cameras are not distributed evenly among the QNAPs they range from up to 100 cameras down to 16 per QNAP. We have are running close to 600 cameras between all the QNAPs. We currently have 10 QNAP's all Running QVR Pro Gold, and sole QNAP running QVR Center. I wanted to reach out and see if anyone else is having issues using QVR Center within their Company. ![]()
